Loads of people have heard the joke about survivors so I wanted to change it and also confuse matters by mentioning 2 countries that don’t share a border. So ‘in the ground’ is about the best answer.
I always thought water was certain death as water becomes very hard upon impact, but the recent crash in New York where the plane survived in one piece made me wonder if water landings are safer. I was also told pilots don’t train for water landings because there isn’t much chance to survive. Kinda a pointless question I know, but I’m just curious.

A view from above the Clarence, NY site where Continental Connection Flight 3407 from Newark, N.J. went down Thursday night, shows wreckage of the plane and the house it struck still burning and smoldering. 50 people were killed in that crash. (Feb. 13)
I’d like to build a helicopter, which is either remote controlled, or one that I can acutally sit in. I’d like to discover all the technical wonders in a helicopter design. So I’d like to build one from scratch.
i was looking outseide. and i saw what seems like a helicopter. its got a whitish yellowish light and a redlight. and it seems to be circling around off in the distance. i live in the city so its probably a police helicopter.
it went across the sky pretty quickly into teh distance and is now circling changing its like from whitish/yellow/ to only a flashink its red light and sometimes both.
but usualy i hear it. why isnt it making noise this time? are some helicopters more quite?
I mean a small plane. Something like a single engine cesna.
What are my chances of just hopping in one, taking off and landing without killing myself with little or no training?
Ive played plenty of flying video games, would that help?
The Wright brothers had no training.
Landing seems pretty hard, and i would probably mess up there. But the rest of it seems like a piece of cake.
